Effective Date: May 1, 2025

Applicable Products: Treet™ Sawn Timber.

Preface

This document serves as the official Treet™ 25-Year Limited Warranty, outlining the terms, conditions, and limitations governing the coverage provided for Treet™’s hardwood sawn timber products.

This warranty reflects Treet™’s commitment to quality, durability, and responsible sourcing while ensuring that our customers receive products that meet the highest industry standards.

By purchasing Treet™ products, the buyer acknowledges and agrees to the terms set forth herein, including the requirements for proper installation, maintenance, and compliance with recommended usage guidelines.

Scope and Purpose

The purpose of this warranty is to provide a statement of Treet™’s obligations concerning the quality and durability of its timber products.

Treet™, adheres to stringent quality control measures in sourcing, processing, and treating its wood products. This warranty is a testament to the company’s confidence in the longevity of its products and is issued in good faith to protect the rights of customers while also defining the limitations of liability associated with wood as a natural material.

Treet™ acknowledges that wood, being an organic material, is subject to natural variations in grain, texture, colour, and aging characteristics. These variations are inherent to wood and do not constitute defects. As such, this warranty does not cover changes in appearance, minor movement, or other naturally occurring variations that do not affect the structural integrity of the product.

1. Warranty Coverage

Treet™ warranties that its hardwood sawn timber will remain structurally sound and free from material defects for a period of 25 years from the date of original purchase, subject to the terms and conditions outlined below. This Warranty extends only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

The validity of this warranty is contingent upon compliance with specific conditions relating to product registration, proper use, installation, maintenance, and environmental exposure. The purchaser is responsible for ensuring that the timber is handled and installed in accordance with industry best practices and Treet™’s recommended guidelines. Failure to meet these conditions may render the Warranty void.

Additionally, Treet™ guarantees that:

  • The product conforms to the specified dimensions.
  • The product is of good shape and has no structural deformations.
  • The product is resistant to borers, termites, fungal growth and decay, when properly stored and installed.

2. Warranty Registration

This Warranty is valid only upon registration within 60 days of purchase through the Treet™ Warranty portal (accessible via the QR code on the Warranty card).

The purchaser must provide proof of purchase, including the invoice number, dealership name, and date of purchase.

A clear image of the invoice must be uploaded, with the quantity specified in Cubic Meter or Cubic Feet.

3. Wood Treatment & Drying Process

Treet™ timber products undergo one or more of the following treatment processes: Air Drying, Kiln Drying, and Chemical Treatment. The appropriate treatment method is selected based on the timber species, its natural properties, dimensions, and intended purpose of use. This ensures optimal durability, stability, and resistance to environmental factors.

Treet™ ensures its treated wood is resistant to decay, termites, and fungal growth when properly stored and installed.

4. Proper Usage & Installation Conditions

This warranty remains valid only if the timber meets the following conditions:

  • It is used for its intended purpose, whether for interior or exterior applications as recommended.
  • It is installed correctly, following standard carpentry practices and industry guidelines.
  • Only stainless steel or corrosion-resistant fasteners are used.
  • It is protected from prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions to prevent premature wear.
  • It is sealed, coated, or finished appropriately to enhance durability and longevity.
  • When in contact with laterite bricks, a PVC or rubber-based sealer must be applied to prevent moisture-related damage.
  • For decking and exterior applications, proper water drainage must be ensured, and direct water pooling should be avoided.
  • For outdoor installations, regular dusting and cleaning must be performed to prevent dirt accumulation, which can lead to mold or fungal growth.

5. Proper Maintenance Requirements

To maintain the validity of the 25-year limited warranty, the following care and maintenance guidelines must be followed:

Interior Applications (Furniture, Flooring, Panels): Apply polish or sealant once every 1- 2 years to maintain sheen and protect against moisture. Use a mild wood cleaner and reapply a protective coat as needed.

Exterior Applications (Decking, Window Frames, Door Jambs): Apply a high-quality UV- resistant sealant every 12-18 months to protect against weathering. If exposed to heavy rain or direct sunlight, check the finish every 6 months and reapply as required.

High-Moisture Areas (Kitchens, Bathrooms): Use a waterproof sealant and inspect the surface annually for wear. Re-seal if there are signs of fading, cracking, or moisture absorption.

Failure to follow these maintenance requirements may void the warranty, as improper care can lead to premature deterioration of the wood.

6. Exclusions & Void Conditions

This warranty does not cover damages arising from:

  • Exposure to natural calamities such as hailstorms, earthquakes, fire, floods, tornadoes, and other Acts of God.
  • Improper storage (e.g., direct contact with ground moisture or excessive humidity before installation).
  • Incorrect installation (e.g., improper fasteners, lack of expansion gaps, or poor substructure support).
  • Chemical alteration or treatment of the product.
  • Impact damage from foreign objects.
  • Carpentry defects: including cutting, drilling, or modifications that compromise structural integrity.
  • Contact with degraded plywood, untreated wood, or incompatible wood varieties that cause damage.
  • Exposure to extreme environmental conditions beyond normal use (e.g., direct fire exposure, submersion in water, extreme UV degradation without proper finishing).
  • Improper maintenance, including failure to reseal or refinish wood as necessary.
  • Accidental damage, misuse, or abuse.
  • Variations in colour, grain, shrinkage or natural aging of wood over time.

7. Warranty Claims Process

Claims for manufacturing defects must be made within 30 days of purchase, before the product is put to further use.

Customers must submit a claim by writing to info@Treet™.in with supporting images and a description of the issue or contact customer support via WhatsApp at 9607370737.

Treet™ reserves the right to collect samples of the defective product and send them for laboratory testing before approving any claim.

Treet™ reserves the right to inspect the product before approving any claim.

If a valid claim is approved, Treet™ may, at its discretion, provide replacement timber or an equivalent remedy.

8. Limitation of Liability

Treet™’s liability under this warranty is strictly limited to the replacement of the material actually damaged. Treet™ shall not be responsible for:

  • Any costs related to the removal of defective or damaged timber.
  • Any reinstallation costs for the replacement product.
  • Any labour costs incurred in rectification or reinstallation.
  • Any replacement or repair of supporting frames, structures, or hardware.
